Wow, what an amazing night! The room was absolutely packed, once again nudging the record books and marking the most people we’ve ever had at two consecutive events. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it another unforgettable SLM Social!
What made this one extra special was the incredible mix of guests from all over Australia and beyond. A big shoutout to those who travelled from New Zealand, especially Shaun from the Auckland Gear Up Thursday group, and to BB and Craig, the Laird Leathermen, for joining us. We also had visitors from Queensland’s sunny state, along with our local titleholders — Zed (Sydney Mx Leather 2025) and the super-talented Bootblack Mia (Sydney Bootblack 2025), all who brought their wonderful energy to the room.
A special thanks also to Eddy (Mr Bavarian Leather 2022 & 2023) and his husband Jerome for joining us. It was fantastic to see so many familiar and new faces, including a large contingent of first-timers, we hope you all felt welcomed and had a great time!
We’re thrilled to share that we had 9 new members sign up last night! Huge thanks to Quinn, our volunteer at the member desk, for helping people sign up, activate digital cards, and navigate the member portal. We’ll have the member desk open again next month for anyone needing help with digital cards or portal access.
Big appreciation to our door and bag check volunteers, Brendan B, Brendon L, Timo, Mark C, and Colin C, for greeting guests, managing coat check, and keeping things running smoothly.
Although DJ Ursyne couldn’t join us in person, we played some of their house mixes, which got great feedback from the crowd, thank you, DJ Ursyne, for continuing to be part of the SLM vibe!
