Sydney Leather Men (SLM) is a community-led organisation created to bring Leather Men together through connection, brotherhood, and shared experiences. We exist for one primary purpose: to build community one connection at a time.

Our motto is simple and reflects our ethos:

Whether you’re brand new to leather, rediscovering your identity, or deeply involved in the scene, SLM is a space where you can meet like-minded people, form friendships, and feel supported in an environment built on respect and authenticity.

Our Purpose

Sydney Leather Men exists to build a strong, connected community of like-minded Leather Men. We create spaces where individuals can show up as their authentic selves, support one another, form meaningful bonds, and experience a true sense of brotherhood. At our core, we believe community is built one connection at a time and community is built through people, not programs.

Our Vision

We envision a leather community that is thriving, connected, and globally respected. We aim to grow our network as far and wide as possible by:

  • fostering meaningful connections,
  • building brotherhood and support, and
  • collaborating with groups across the leather, fetish, and LGBTQIA+ communities.

When our community is united, the entire leather and kink culture becomes stronger.

How We Live This Vision

    Our monthly Socials, UNITY events bring members together in relaxed, social environments. No hierarchy. No expectation. Just connection.
  • Collaboration, Not Competition
    We proudly work alongside other community groups, sharing resources and uplifting each other. There’s room for everyone, and we believe success is greater when shared.
  • Honouring Leather Tradition
    We are committed to preserving and celebrating leather culture and history. Reviving the Sydney Mr Leather title in 2023 after seven years was just the beginning, our work continues to support the growth and visibility of leather in Sydney and beyond.
  • Respect, Safety & Integrity
    Everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and valued. Our Code of Conduct ensures our spaces are free from discrimination, harassment, and bullying. Kindness and integrity are non-negotiable.
